This research of the last years with a group of dancers taking the art of weaving as a source of inspiration, together with the desire to make an organic choreography for group, has also been developed as a video installation. ‘A formless form is one ‘, independent part of that.

In ‘portrait of a carpet’ we see a series of tableaux with one dancer incorporating the energy of one carpet. With these solo works we propose the experiential body as a mediator for abstract art.

This work is also a starting point for the new solo work of Pé Vermeersch (see mixed media , ‘abstract me ‘) for more info on the background on carpets see , ‘ who wove my breath’ and www.radcialhearts.be/ expo paul vandenbroeck
